Tethys is continuously establishing and strengthening its identity as a corporate citizen through its corporate social responsibility programs. We believe that our host communities are partners in all our endeavors and hand in hand, we will design and conduct programs that will promote their development. We work side by side with our host communities to provide opportunities that will help them help themselves. We do not dictate what they need; we do not impose our CSR projects. We hear them out; we understand their needs and respect their values. Jointly, we decide and implement our CSR hand-in-hand. Based on our engagement and consultations with our communities, we have made a conscious and deliberate choice to focus our CSR program aimed at addressing and have a positive impact on three areas namely health, education and livelihood. |

In honor of celebrating The Victory Day in Kazakhstan, an annual day to remember those who fought in WWII, a competition was held in Bozoi – the competition for The Tethys Cup. This is the 3rd year this competition has been held and it has become an important tradition for the revival of such nomadic sports, such as horse racing and Kazakh wrestling. Events included “Alaman Baiga” (27 km horse racing), “Tok Baiga” (17 km horse racing), Greco-Roman wrestling (7 weight categories among Shalkar secondary school students) and Kazakh wrestling among adults. Tethys recently supported a project organized by TEAmbulance. The Company provided funds for the purchase of an ambulance which then embarked on a cross-continental fundraising drive from London to Tajikistan where, on 7th September 2011 and in connection with the 20th anniversary celebrations of the country's Independence, the fully equipped ambulance was donated to a local Tajik hospital.

In Uzbekistan, Tethys has developed and enjoys an excellent partnership with the Forum Fund and contributes to various social and community projects via this fund.
